Alpha Air put a split system into my older style 2nd level apartment in Elwood. A more complicated process than many other properties. They were prompt , thorough & flexible about the upfront deposit. The tradies who installed the unit were respectful, friendly & did a great job. They even sent someone back to the property (at my request) free of charge, to help me set up the WiFi control system. I’d definitely recommend Alpha Air Heating & Cooling.

We have just had AlphaAir helping us with a new ducted reverse cycle system for our home- they were such a brilliant team, starting with Matt, Darren, Locky and also Daniel & the other person that helped installing the unit onsite. They were very accommodating despite their busy schedules, had been prompt and professional with answering all questions we have asked in the process. We do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to install/update their heating & cooling systems. Thanks guys :)

Couldn’t speak more highly of the team- Matt who organised a last minute install after another company mishap, full explanation and application for for gov rebates which others didn’t, so saving me hundreds. Daniel, Dylan, Matt, amazing service and craftsmanship start to finish. Every step of the install Daniel took the time to show and explain where he would be placing units and made sure I was satisfied. Was professional and cleaned up the site after checking multiple times. Walk through at the conclusion for any questions and showed me his work. I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for heating and cooling. 10 stars.

I requested a quote from Alpha a little while back and was told that the installation would be straightforward and a 'good deal'. When i received the quote, i was shocked that the pricing was 60-70%+ or more higher than market value of the units plus a reasonable install fee, so of course I let it go. I was continually contacted to take up the offer, but I ignored. When i initially submitted this review, i was immediately harassed, phone called repeatedly about this feedback, basically telling me / threatening me to remove the feedback. The owner is a charlatan looking to take people for a ride and is also dishonest. Be wary.

We had a great experience working with Alpha Air. The team were fast to respond to my enquiry, especially in the middle of summer. They provided competitive quotes/prices both for the installation and our preferred product (Split System Air conditioning unit). Installation was quick and easy to organise.

HVAC Zoning Installation

Have you ever wanted each room in your home at the perfect temperature? Imagine if you could always feel just right. With HVAC zoning, this isn’t just a dream.

HVAC zoning lets you control the climate in different areas. It makes your home more comfortable and efficient. Now, let’s learn about how it works and its benefits.

How Does a Zoned HVAC System Work?

A zoned HVAC system lets you control temperature in various parts of your home. It uses multiple thermostats, split systems, and dampers. You can even use smartphone apps to adjust settings. This way, you can set the perfect temperature in each area and save energy.

Multiple Thermostats for Temperature Control

A zoned system has several thermostats around the house. You can set each one to different temperatures. This means everyone can be comfortable in their own space.

Split Systems for Zoned Cooling and Heating

Split systems are key to zoned HVAC. They have indoor units and one outdoor compressor. By having indoor units in various places, you can heat or cool different areas as needed.

Dampers for Airflow Control

Dampers direct the flow of air in a zoned system. They adjust airflow to each area. This ensures that the right amount of heating or cooling gets to each zone.

Convenient Temperature Adjustments with a Smartphone App

Some zoned systems work with smartphone apps. This lets you change the temperature from anywhere. As long as you’re connected to your home’s Wi-Fi, you can adjust settings easily.

Zoned HVAC systems are great for comfort and saving energy. You can control the climate in different areas of your home. This way, you only use energy where it’s needed. Zoned systems make your home more comfortable and efficient.

Ducted vs Ductless HVAC Zoning

Two major ways to achieve HVAC zoning exist: ducted and ductless systems. Ducted systems control airflow with dampers in the ducts. This lets you set different temperatures in each area. On the flip side, ductless systems link many indoor units to one outdoor compressor. This setup does away with the need for ducts.

If your home is short on space or can’t fit ducts, go ductless. This option lets you place indoor units in various spots without needing ducts. Ductless systems are also more energy-efficient. They prevent energy loss from duct leaks, cutting down on power bills. Plus, they help keep your air cleaner by stopping dust and allergens from spreading through old ducts.

Benefits of a Zoned HVAC System

A zoned HVAC system has many benefits for your home or office. It can make your place more comfortable and save energy. You get to have a consistent temperature and feel cozier.

Energy Savings

Energy savings are a big plus of a zoned HVAC system. Older systems heat or cool the whole place, even if no one’s there. With a zoned system, you only use energy where it’s needed. This cuts down on your bills and helps the planet.

Temperature Uniformity

Ever notice how some rooms are too hot or too cold? That’s what happens with old HVAC systems. A zoned system fixes that. It lets you control the temperature in different areas. So, everyone is happy and comfortable wherever they are in the house.

Thermal Comfort for Workplace

In an office, having the right temperature is important for getting work done. Different tasks might need different temperatures. A zoned HVAC system can meet these needs. It makes every spot in the office just right for the work happening there.

Summing up, a zoned HVAC system is great for many reasons. It saves energy, gives you even temperatures, and makes offices more comfortable. Investing in one can make everyone feel better and save money on energy costs.

How Much Does HVAC Zoning Cost?

The price of setting up HVAC zoning changes with your home’s needs. Adding zones to your HVAC system requires extra parts. This includes new units, dampers, refrigerant lines, and extra wiring. The total cost also covers the wages for the workers.

Remember, HVAC zoning is an investment that pays off. Even if it costs more at first, it saves money and adds comfort over time. By controlling temperature in various areas, you use energy smarter. This way, you don’t waste power on empty rooms.

Before deciding on HVAC zoning, consider its benefits. It enhances energy efficiency, reducing your bills. Plus, having your own climate in different rooms ups the comfort. Talk to an HVAC expert for a precise quote. They’ll look at what you need and your current setup.

HVAC Zoning Cheaply

Even if your home doesn’t have HVAC zoning, you can still manage the temperature. You can install manual dampers in the ductwork. This lets you adjust airflow to different parts of your home. With these, you get basic control over the temperature, making spaces more comfortable.

If you want more precise control, think about getting automatic dampers. These dampers can be handled remotely or set to change airflow based on certain temperatures. They allow for better temperature management, helping you keep every zone in your home just right.

Using either manual or automatic dampers helps make your living spaces comfier without a pricey HVAC zoning system. These cost-effective options give you good temperature control in homes without zoning. This way, you can improve the comfort of your home.

How to Determine How Many Zones Your Home Needs

Finding out the right number of zones for your home is important for HVAC zoning. You need to look at several things to get comfort and save energy. It’s a good idea to talk to an HVAC expert to get the best advice for your home.

Consider Room Usage

Thinking about how you use different rooms is key to working out zones. Living rooms or bedrooms might need their own zones for everyone’s comfort. Spaces not used much, like storage areas, can be put in one zone to help save energy.

Evaluate HVAC Demands

It’s also critical to think about what your home needs from its HVAC. Big homes or those with several floors might need more zones for even temperature. Special features like big windows might mean you need extra zones too.

Consultation with an HVAC Professional

Talking to an HVAC professional is strongly advised for deciding on zones. They have the skills to check your home and suggest the best setup. They consider things like insulation and ductwork to give you the right advice.

In summary, deciding on home zones means looking at how rooms are used, what your HVAC needs, and talking to an expert. With careful planning and professional help, you can make sure your zoning works well for both comfort and energy efficiency.

Is HVAC Zoning Right for You?

If your home has more than one level or big windows that cause uneven heat or cold, HVAC zoning could help. This system divides your home into zones for better temperature control in each area. It’s great for homes where temperatures vary a lot.

Choosing the best HVAC zoning system depends on your home’s layout and other factors. These include the setup costs and how much you’re willing to spend. Getting advice from HVAC experts is a wise move. They can guide you on whether zoning is a good fit and discuss other options too.

Thinking about HVAC zoning means looking at the good sides and the costs. Zoning tackles uneven heating or cooling, making your home comfier. But, not every home needs it. Talking to HVAC experts and considering your needs will help you choose wisely for your home and wallet.
