Alpha Air put a split system into my older style 2nd level apartment in Elwood. A more complicated process than many other properties. They were prompt , thorough & flexible about the upfront deposit. The tradies who installed the unit were respectful, friendly & did a great job. They even sent someone back to the property (at my request) free of charge, to help me set up the WiFi control system. I’d definitely recommend Alpha Air Heating & Cooling.

Couldn’t speak more highly of the team- Matt who organised a last minute install after another company mishap, full explanation and application for for gov rebates which others didn’t, so saving me hundreds. Daniel, Dylan, Matt, amazing service and craftsmanship start to finish. Every step of the install Daniel took the time to show and explain where he would be placing units and made sure I was satisfied. Was professional and cleaned up the site after checking multiple times. Walk through at the conclusion for any questions and showed me his work. I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for heating and cooling. 10 stars.

I requested a quote from Alpha a little while back and was told that the installation would be straightforward and a 'good deal'. When i received the quote, i was shocked that the pricing was 60-70%+ or more higher than market value of the units plus a reasonable install fee, so of course I let it go. I was continually contacted to take up the offer, but I ignored. When i initially submitted this review, i was immediately harassed, phone called repeatedly about this feedback, basically telling me / threatening me to remove the feedback. The owner is a charlatan looking to take people for a ride and is also dishonest. Be wary.

Things to Consider When Buying a Ducted Air Conditioning System

Investing in a ducted air conditioning system is a significant decision that requires careful consideration. To ensure that you make the right choice for your home, there are a few key factors to keep in mind. One of the first things to consider is how you and your family members use different areas of your home. Think about which rooms are most frequently occupied and how often you require cooling or heating in those spaces.

Another important consideration is your house specifications. Assess the area of glass in your home and the amount of sunlight it receives. This can impact the cooling load and determine the size of the system you need. Additionally, take note of the height of your ceilings and whether they are insulated. Proper insulation can improve energy efficiency and the overall performance of your ducted air conditioning system.

Lastly, understanding the construction type of your house is crucial in selecting the right system. Different construction types require different cooling capacities, so it’s important to consult with a professional who can assess your home and recommend the appropriate system for your needs.

Considering these factors

when buying a ducted air conditioning system will help ensure that you choose the right system for your home, providing optimal comfort and efficiency for years to come.

Choosing a Reliable Ducted Air Conditioning Company

When it comes to investing in a ducted air conditioning system, choosing the right company for installation is crucial. With numerous options available, it’s important to do your due diligence and select a reputable and reliable company that understands your needs. Here are some key factors to consider when making your decision:

Research and Testimonials

Start by conducting thorough research on different companies in your area. Look for companies with a proven track record and years of experience in installing ducted air conditioning systems. One effective way to gauge a company’s reliability is through testimonials from satisfied customers. Request written testimonials or contact information of past clients to get insights into their experience with the company.

Ask for Recommendations

Reach out to friends, family, and colleagues who have installed ducted air conditioning systems in their homes. Ask for their recommendations and get insights into their overall experience with the company they chose. Word-of-mouth recommendations are often valuable because they come from trusted sources who have firsthand experience with the installation process and customer service.

Capacity Calculation and Expertise

Ensure that the company you choose has the expertise to accurately calculate the capacity needed for your ducted air conditioning system. A proper assessment of your home’s size, layout, and insulation is essential to determine the right system size for optimal performance. A knowledgeable and experienced company will guide you through the process and provide accurate recommendations based on your specific requirements.

By taking these steps and investing time in researching and selecting a reliable ducted air conditioning company, you can ensure a seamless installation process and enjoy the benefits of a well-designed and efficient system.

Features of Ducted Air Conditioning

Ducted air conditioning systems offer a range of features that make them a highly desirable option for homeowners. One of the key advantages is their ease of maintenance. Periodic cleaning of the ducts and servicing of the compressor ensures that the system operates efficiently and effectively.

In addition, ducted air conditioning systems are known for their energy efficiency. Newer models are designed to consume less energy, helping homeowners save on their electricity bills while still enjoying optimal comfort.

Another notable feature of ducted air conditioning is its extensive coverage. These systems are designed to distribute air evenly to every room in the house, ensuring consistent cooling or heating throughout the entire living space.

Furthermore, ducted air conditioning systems offer zoning capability, allowing for individual temperature and fan speed control in different areas of the house. This enables homeowners to customize the climate in each room to suit their preferences and optimize energy efficiency.

Installation Process and Cost of Ducted Air Conditioning

Installing a ducted air conditioning system involves a comprehensive assessment of your property to determine the most suitable location for the system. A qualified technician will inspect your home’s layout, size, and existing ductwork to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. They will then design a ducted system that meets your specific requirements.

The installation process typically includes the following steps:

1. Ductwork Design and Installation

The technician will design and install the ductwork, which serves as the main distribution system for conditioned air. The ducts are carefully installed behind walls, in ceilings, or under floors to ensure they are hidden from view, resulting in a clean and seamless aesthetic.

2. Condenser Unit and Air Handler Installation

The condenser unit, which houses the compressor and other components, is installed outside the building or on the roof. The air handler, responsible for cooling or heating the air, is installed indoors. Both units are interconnected by refrigerant lines and electrical wiring.

3. Electrical and Control Wiring

The technician will connect the electrical wiring from the air conditioning system to your home’s electrical panel. This ensures proper operation and allows you to control the system with thermostats or a central control panel.
